Forty eminent American physicians endorse cod liver oil as the leading remedy for consumption. The text notes hypophosphites of lime and soda as favored by English observers. It promotes Scott's Emulsion as the standard remedy, available through druggists for one dollar.
The intense itching and smarting incident to eczema tetter salt rheum and other skin diseases is quickly relieved by Chamberlain's Eye Ointment. Many bad cases have been permanently healed. Also advertised are Dr Cady's Condition Powders for horses boasting tonic blood purifier and vermifuge. Sold by druggists at 25 cents per box.
A brief 19th century style notice outlines subscriber duties. It warns that failure to notify continuation or discontinuation, moving without informing, or failing to collect papers can incur arrearages and legal liability. It states creditors may arrest for fraud and compares unpaid subs to theft.

An advertisement touts Cascarets Candy Cathartic as a wonderful medical discovery that cleanses kidneys liver and bowels and dispels colds headaches fevers and biliousness while promising gentle relief from constipation. It urges trying a box with prices 10 26 and 50 cents and guarantees cure by druggists, though it notes Trib does not cure everything and claims it cures bruises and sprains.
The Bank will receive deposits, buy and sell Foreign and Domestic Exchange, make Loans and do a General Banking Business. On time deposits 30 per cent interest will be paid. Agent for all the Principal Fire Insurance Companies which do business on the Coast. Our facilities for handling accounts of stockmen, sheepmen, merchants, mining companies and individuals are an excelled, as we have ample funds and correspondents in all the principal points East, West and State, and all business untrusted to us will receive our careful and best attention.
Local fraternal societies announce meeting schedules at Silver State hall Staunton and Castle Hall in the Silver State block. Hermione Temple No 5 Rathbone Sisters Militia Ivanshoe Lodge No 18 K of P and other groups list meetings on first third or fourth Tuesdays and Mondays with officers named for oversight and routine drill evenings.
Winnemucca Lodge No 19 F A M announces monthly communications at 7 30 PM on the first Saturday evening, inviting masons in good standing to attend. Signed by W M A Krenkel and R W Lewis, secretary.
