The twentyeth Nevada Legislature approved a new law restricting hunting and sale of many birds and game. It bans killing or capturing specified species year round or within set seasons, prohibits nest or egg removal, limits shotgun gauge, and imposes deer and antelope restrictions with staged harvesting limits.
Gouvernor Francis Newlands announces a cadet examination for the Annapolis Naval Academy to be conducted in Reno and Elko on Monday July 1 1901 and Tuesday July 2 1901 With strict qualifications including age height and physical condition and a list of subjects to be tested prepared by the academy committee led by J E Stubbs the chairman
