Promoters claim the Syrup of Figs medically improves health by cleansing the kidneys liver and bowels without weakening them. Sold by druggists in 50 cent and 1 dollar bottles, manufactured by the California Fig Syrup Co, which prints its name on every package. Do not accept substitutes.
Time tables show tickets sold for all eastern points and travelers insurance tickets are also available. J A Ferpano serves as the agent for these services.
The Japanese Gazette in Yokohama prints a farewell piece by its former female editor recalling harsh nicknames and press freedoms. A St Louis captain buys a mud turtle dated 1814 for his son, then laments a boy’s attempt to age it. Also promoting Hood’s Sarsaparilla and Simmons Liver Regulator with testimonial style claims.
County auditor submits the Humboldt County quarterly financial statement for the quarter ending March 1 1891 with cash balances and apportionments to school, state, bond, and various funds including road, indigent sick, contingent, salary, and local school funds across Winnemucca Reno and outlying districts. The report lists cash in treasury December 1893 and March 1894 with detailed fund allocations for numerous counties and townships.
The auditor concludes cash in the County Treasury as of March 31 1894 and details bonds and warrants. Includes Court House Bonds 52000, Redemption Warrants 10640 91, Seven per cent warrants 196 685, Road and Salary Fund allocations, School District 7 indebtedness and School House Bonds 15000. Signed by J J Hill County Auditor and P Laverga County Treasurer April 2 1894.
