An advertorial piece extols Syrup of Figs as a pure liquid laxative that cleanses the system and aids kidneys liver and bowels without weakening them. It claims wide satisfaction and medical approval and notes bottles are sold by druggists and manufactured by the California Fig Syrup Co with their name on each package.
Tickets sold and baggage checked through to all eastern points. Travelers insurance tickets also sold by J A Ferraro, Agent.
The Humboldt County Board of Commissioners met on April 1 1695 and approved numerous county and road bills including salaries for Westfall Morey and others, interpreter fees for Toy Lee, journalist fees for Chas L Knox, registry agent fees for A Darrah, and road work payments to J E Sterling CW McDeild H Darrah Peter Organ and others. County bills also cover indigent medical services indigent burials supplies and hospital labor costs. The clerk J I F Dunn and deputy certify the bills were passed and paid on April 1 1695.
