Dayton Hoover about 30 died instantly at William Jones farm west of Lake ton when wood piled and fell, pushing him into a buzz saw. His head and left arm were severed. he left a wife and child, parents, sisters, and many relatives awaiting funeral plans at Plymouth.
D Henderson of Gary reports improvement and partial mobility after several weeks of sciatica rheumatism and stomach trouble. Doctors hope for a rapid recovery as he remains confined to his room part of each day.

A noon meal followed the surprise and well wishes were exchanged for many more happy birthdays.

Sonia Colbert returned to Whites Institute and traveled to Wabash on Monday for employment after a period at home.
H L Oldfather and his wife returned a few days ago from a ten day auto trip into Ohio. They visited friends at Wooster Orville Massillon and other places. They made the home run from Massillon a distance of 266 miles in one day. The car recorded the same mileage on both outward and return trips despite taking different routes.
A Wednesday afternoon gathering from Wabash brought twelve ladies to Hutchens cottage. Refreshments in three courses were served and the event provided an excellent time.

Elmer Laughman and family attended the funeral of Marion Shoemaker held last Sunday in Palestine. Shoemaker was a brother to Mrs. Laughman. He died after being kicked by a horse about ten days earlier.
Charles Spencer and his family from Bronson Michigan visited the Hamman and Laughman homes on Monday evening. The Spencers moved to Michigan seven months ago and recently welcomed a baby son.
