Enrollment across the township’s schools on the first Monday showed strong turnout with varied classes listed by year and room. Officials note the term begins smoothly and aim to maintain discipline while avoiding early mischief as students return to studies.
E. Braude endured a severe poisoning episode over the past week affecting his face and causing days of distress. He has since gained control and is now able to be about town.

Walter A. Rantz, 27, youngest son of Charles FE and Mary J Rantz, died at home in Silver Lake after a five week battle with typhoid fever. Survived by parents a brother and sister, his funeral at 12 30 Monday drew many friends and out of town relatives. burial at Lakeview cemetery. Attendees included Elks, I O O F and K of P members from Warsaw and surrounding areas. Dr W L Ranty of Canistate Dakota and Mrs Charles Lunsford of Chicago assisted in care.
East Buffalo September 18 1905 C E Stout Esq Silver Lake Ind condolence from C F Pfeiffer & Sons to the Rantz family over Walter Rantz death. The letter expresses heartfelt sympathy noting Walter’s amiable nature and business ability and asks to notify the family in their hour of bereavement.
Walter A. Rantz, born and raised in the community, was an integral part of society known for his jovial accommodation and generous nature. He welcomed neighbors, aided in requests, and shared in friends’ sorrows, with many tears and sympathies across the town and surrounding country.
Mrs Jacob Leiter died at her Claypool home at 4 36 am Monday age 60 from dropsy and complications. She is survived by husband two sons Dr Leiter and Charles Leiter of Claypool and a daughter Mrs Thomason of Packerton. Funeral from U B Church in Claypool at 9339 Wednesday morning with Rev Butler officiating.

Mr. Bammerly living about two miles west of Disko died Wednesday of last week from a complication of diseases. The remains were brought here Thursday evening and sent to Michigan for burial. Afr. Bammerly was about 87 years of age and was known by many in Silver Lake.
A. H. Hower attended the state fair last week and the brigade reunion of the 15 16 7 and 18 regiments. About 120 survivors gathered and enjoyed the event. John Cox and Henry Strayer of North Manchester were among those present. the next reunion is planned for the Wednesday of state fair week next year.

Howard Tillman of Reann son of Rev J W Tillman returned to town after resigning as a night clerk in a Wabash restaurant He gained a teaching license for Wabash county and was assigned to the 7th and 8th grades in Urbana schools The new term began Monday and well wishes are offered for his success
A Tuesday reception honored club members Fay Leonard Ed Wiley and Harley Rager who had been away. Hosts Zimmie and Bill Bussard presided at Bussard's Roost with guests Miss Kate Mountain of Alexandria and Miss Ruth Babcock of Warsaw. The evening featured games music and refreshments.
