Mrs Bashore Dies After Illness in Silver Town

Mrs Bashore died at her home in the east part of Silver Town after an extended illness. Funeral was held Sunday, with interment in the cemetery near Servia. Services were in charge of Rev. Young. The husband four children and other relatives survive.

Mrs Samuel Bashore died at her home in the east part of town last Friday night after years of illness. She was over 61, survived by her husband, and had lived in the area for years, moving from a farm southeast of town. The Bashore family was well known locally. Continued to No. 2. on Last Page.

Kidnapped Girl Escapes After Auto Abduction Near Warsaw

Misa Mildred Gay, 13, was snatched from school grounds near Olanette northwest of Warsaw by a man about 50 who stepped from a car and drove away. A punctured tire forced a stop and the girl escaped to a nearby farm house and was returned home.

Sholty Family Injured in Friday Accident Near Disko

Mr. and Mrs. Sholty and their granddaughter were in a collision at a crossroad three miles west and two south of Disko. A large eastbound machine struck their car, injuring Mr. Sholty with two broken ribs and scalp laceration for Mrs. Sholty, while the granddaughter escaped unharmed. The Sholties continued to Disko and returned home.

Orville Fletcher of Plymouth, 21, died last Friday night from injuries after a large track he operated overturned burying him. A fractured rib punctured a lung and caused the fatal injuries.

Studebaker Wreck Injures Lady Near Littler Place

A Wednesday evening crash two and half miles south of town wrecked a large Studebaker. Mrs Young suffered a cut head a dislocated wrist and severe finger cuts from broken glass. Harold Tombaugh and another Gilead woman were dazed. the trio was returning from Warsaw when the car left the road. They were taken to surgeons and later sent home to Gilead.

Kay Kline son of Mr and Mrs Dode Kline from the southwest of town was taken sick at William Snake place north of town early last week. He is reported getting along very nicely and suffering from tetanus in the illness.

In Warsaw circuit court on Wednesday Stephen Hill received a $100 fine and a 30 day sentence at the penal farm after being charged with selling liquor.

Warsaw Woman Found Dead Seated in Her Chair

Miss Mary Evers aged 67 was found dead in her apartment above the State Bank in Warsaw on Sunday morning. Neighbors entered after receiving no response and found her seated in a chair, having apparently died late Saturday afternoon after feeling unwell for several days.
