Mrs. Gladys Parker of Cleveland visits the Mc Clure home and her brother Ray Henderson and family. Parker formerly lived here as Miss Gladys Henderson with her parents years ago and is seen with numerous friends.
The board of trustees of the incorporated town of Silver Lake will meet in regular session tomorrow evening in the clerk s office at the town hall. There will be business to transact and likely new business brought up.
A Rochester gathering Saturday night marked a traditional ratification of a democratic victory with music a large bonfire and a hat burning spree including new hats old hats and indifferent hats as part of the festive display.

Mrs. Sarah Fisher went to Rochester on Tuesday and will reside with Charles True's mother for most of the winter season.
Mrs Hannah Hinman died Sunday at her son C E B Math ews home northeast of Leesburg at about 81. She was sister to the late John H Gerken and the oldest child in the family, the last of them to pass.
Mrs Elsworth Hill and her son Cecil return to Stratford Texas after a several weeks visit with relatives in and around this place They are accompanied from Burket by Mrs Blanche Walters and her children who will visit there with her parents Mr and Mrs Leroy Yutea
Lela Martin moves from the Flora building to the Robinson room two doors south of Farmers Bank. She will continue selling the same merchandise and operate the business as before.
The Silver Lake band holds a Thanksgiving masquerade event in the Roger and Yount ball with prizes for the oldest masked person and the best masked pair. Proceeds benefit band music and winter practice. Admission 25 cents for masked gentlemen, 10 cents for spectators, masked ladies free, and no masked admission for children under 15.
J. J. Babcock and his daughter Mrs. J. C. Hay and family traveled from War saw to Long Beach California for the winter. They will stay at 438 Walnut Avenue and plan to visit other cities and towns while there.

The shoestring telephone exchange was relocated from the Charles Hamman home in the northwest part of town to the Isaac Holderman residence a couple of weeks ago and is now back in operation with switchboard duties handled by Mrs. Cora Williams.

Jonas Eaton and C G Carter of this place secured a two thirds interest in Blue and Jones hardware with Mr Jones retiring and Mr Blue retaining one third. Transfer expected about the first of next month. Eaton and Carter praised as energetic and respected young men.
Mrs. Pleasant Case formerly Miss Pleasant Herendeen returned to her California home last week after visiting with her sister Mrs. Chester Juntz and family southeast of town and other relatives in the area for several weeks.

A high school basketball game last Friday at Silver Lake featured Beaver Dam against Silver Lake. Silver Lake won the contest by a score of 10 points.
