Wreck Kills Poultry Shipper and Companion Near Marion
Francis Rager and his fellow traveler Robert Ramsey died in a head on collision between a freight train and a light engine at Alger Ohio on a Sunday night. The two men were riding in a poultry car used to transport live and dressed poultry with eggs. Rager survived the crash but Ramsey was killed instantly. Rager blamed both engineers for careless handling as the train entered the yards. He reported the wreck to E Braude and returned home that evening.
