Word arrived from Elkhart that Mrs. Louisa Dillon, nearly 85, is seriously ill at her son E. P. Hamilton's home. She lived in this locality about twenty-five years ago and is well known to residents here.

John Cass, who planned a sale at his farm southeast of town later this month, has announced a postponement due to unavoidable occurrences. He now will hold the sale in February so he can vacate the farm by March 1.

A prominent Kosciusko county figure A C Manwaring died at his Mentone home Wednesday night from heart trouble at age 64. He served in the Indiana legislature from Kosciusko and later as state senator for Kosciusko and Marshall counties. Survived by wife two sons Loren Denver Col John Chicago a daughter Mrs Nelson Clay Oberlin Ohio parents Elliott and Mrs Manwaring Mentone two brothers Chester and Frank and sister Mrs Nellie Blue Chicago. He had previously operated a store in Mentone about twenty five years ago.
