George Montel, about 70, was found by Big Four workers lying on cattle-guard at a rail yard. He had been there an estimated two hours, barely able to move due to weakness and nervous troubles. A freight train passed nearby as he lay helpless, and his rescuers took him home for care.
An old junk dealer explains his buying creed bottles and rags go together. A leading Eastern city estimates annual liquor consumption would fill quart bottles stacked to a height equal to Bunker Hill Monument or form a bottle as large as the greatest ocean steamer afloat.

Elmer Summe and Miss Mable Jontz were united in marriage at the M. E. parsonage in Larwill by Rev. E. E. Wright. The bride, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. G. Mrs Amanda Rhodes comes back from several weeks in North Dakota visiting daughter and husband Mr and Mrs Roscoe Self and brother W T Townsend. The Selfs plan farming development in the northwest and expect new towns and a nearer railroad someday. Mrs Rhodes says the baby girl at her daughter's home is healthy and thriving.
Adolphus Welch age 50 died in a Marion Paper Mill accident early Thursday November 3 after repairing a belt and slipping into a revolving shaft. A nearby worker suffered fractures. Welch, a longtime employee and son in law of Mr and Mrs John Goss, leaves a wife three children two stepchildren five brothers and two sisters. He was a member of the Ninth A B church of Marion.
A lodge of Royal Neighbors of America was instituted with 23 members on a Thursday evening. The event marked the organization of a new local lodge.
Isaac Sands aged about 83 died at his home northwest of the place Monday morning after seven weeks with heart and kidney trouble. A Ohio native who moved to Indiana fifty years ago, he lived near Silver Lake and was the last surviving brother of Andrew J. Sands. Survived by wife two sons Amber and America and daughter Mrs Samuel Rickel. Funeral two o'clock Wednesday. burial in Franklin cemetery three miles west of Silver Lake.
