Victoria Reading Club Enjoys WarsawVisit

Sixteen members of the Victoria reading club traveled to Warsaw by car Thursday afternoon to attend an afternoon of music, recitations, and a lengthy one act drama hosted by the Valoma reading club at the Elder home. A lawn dinner followed, with rooms decorated in club colors, and the visitors returned home with high praise for their hosts. Decoration Day Observed By Community At U B Church

A large crowd attended Decoration Day services at the U B church with Rev H W Park of the M E church delivering a speech. The Indiana State Guards ex soldiers and the Silver Lake Cornet Band led a cemetery procession and a military salute was fired at the graves of Andrew McClure and Walter A Rantz.
