Mrs AN Metzger traveled to LaPort last Saturday due to Catharine Ferree illness. Catharine, daughter of Mr and Mrs Frank Ferree, recently recovered from scarlet fever followed by an ear abscess. An operation was performed at a hospital to relieve the trouble and she is recovering, expected to go home within a week.
Samuel Smith visiting the Olinger residence last Sunday saw his small pet dog killed instantly when a child struck at a rat with an iron rod. The missed strike hit the dog as the cabinet was running after a rat.
Town board schedules regular session tomorrow evening to discuss several important matters and business items for discussion and possible action.
W E Wood will mow and clean cemetery lots this summer. Lot owners must pay a dollar promptly to start work. A balance is owed from last year and payments should be left at the Recoup office or sent to Mr Wood.
