The four year old son of Mr and Mrs Charles Young who had an abscess between the lungs and their covering underwent initial treatment by Dr Leokrone then was moved to South Bend hospital where Dr Charles Terry performed a second operation removing the foreign matter. The child is improving and is expected to recover.

The two year old daughter of Mr P L McPherson of 59 N Tenth St Harrisburg Pa suffered sleepless nights due to stomach trouble. W O Fendner has moved from Silver Lake with his wife and baby to Rashville to join his father. As agent and former local figure he will be missed for his outspoken yet courteous nature and strong personality. The community wishes the family success in their new venture.
George Petre born October 28 1831 in Oberhausen Germany died March 13 1903 in Dayton Ohio aged 71 years 4 cognihs and 16 days. He came to America at 22 and joined the Lutheran Church in Dayton. Remains brought to Claypool by the Big Four train then to his brother Philip Petre near Packerton. Funeral Monday at Grove Chapel conducted by Rev Greenawalt. Interment Grove Chapel Cemetery.
