Monastic Trial and Exile of Brother John of Hordle
In a Beaulieu Abbey hearing, Brother John of Hordle is condemned as a Tecreant monk after confessing to ale, assault, and raiding, and is stripped of the white habit and sent into the world. Alleyne Edricson, a young novice, is given leave to seek his elder brother at Minstead while facing a hard future in the outside world.
