Fort Wayne Woman Weighing 560 Pounds Dies

Mrs. Jerstie Scott, described as Fort Wayne's largest resident and possibly Indiana's heaviest woman, died at home from multiple diseases. Born in Louisville, she had lived in Fort Wayne many years and had gained about 100 pounds in the last year. Embalming required eight times normal fluids and a wide casket to bury Mrs. Scott.

J D Lee Cline accepted a position as teacher for the Winona schools and began work Monday. Formerly principal of Silver Lake schools, he departs with best wishes from his former district and will be in Winona for weekend visits and Chautauqua privileges as his classes meet in the forenoon.

Silver Lake Lodge No 576 I O O F held memorial day with a procession by the Silver Lake Band twenty four children carrying flowers and flags. Rev H W Park preached at the Methodist church then the group went to the cemetery for ritual and grave decorations before returning to the hall for closing services.

Death of Jacob Leckrone. funeral at Rose Hill church

Jacob Leckrone died after more than five years of poor health. His remains were brought from Edinville Missouri to Indiana on Friday and laid to rest at Rose Hill church cemetery after a funeral service Saturday morning. He is survived by his wife, several children, three sisters Mrs J M Amiss Mrs H G Groninger and Mrs Fred Horne and two brothers Solomon and Aaron. Aaron Leckrone accompanied the body and the procession returned home after meeting the casket.
