Local Man From Claypool Stricken by Paralysis Stroke
Lloyd Ramsey of Claypool, about 29, visiting his brother Claud Ramsey’s family, suffered a stroke Wednesday morning. The attack affected his left side and left him wholly blind. his condition remained serious in the latest report.

Lincoln era gratitude certificates found in county jail
Sheriff Mabie uncovered a roll of President Lincoln s thanks and certificates honoring members of Company H 138th Indiana Volunteer Infantry. Issued in 1864 these papers were reportedly filed in the jail attic by late Sheriff Captain Daniel W Hamlin. They name Abraham Lincoln and Edwin M Stanton and salute Kosciusko county men of Company E.
