Sudden Death of Mrs Ephriam Drudge At Home

Residents were shocked Friday morning by the sudden death of Mrs Ephriam Drudge at her home southwest of town about 10 30 the evening before. She had battled rheumatism and years of ill health, sometimes confined to her room, yet she was active Thursday evening before retiring. Mr Drudge and their daughter summoned help as Mrs Drudge rapidly declined and died before a physician could arrive.

Wabash Man Dies After Appendicitis Operation

Tom McGovern of Wabash underwent an appendectomy in a local hospital last Wednesday. His daughter, residing in Michigan, had a similar operation at Battle Creek hospital at about the same time. The father relapsed Tuesday afternoon and died around two o'clock. Remains transported via Big Four to Michigan for burial. McGovern was well known locally and visited the lake several times this spring.
