Drowned man from Sidney dies after Carr lake accident

George Boyer, 35, of Sidney, drowned when his canoe capsized during fishing with Arley Sisk at Carr Lake near Claypool. Sisk escaped, Boyer recovered after forty minutes, pulmotor used but ineffective. Believed heart trouble caused death. funeral held in Sidney at Dodger cemetery. He leaves a wife and two children.

Town board to hear Malin street sewer plan next meeting

First of Season Band Concerts Set in Silver Lake

The town opens with the first open air band concert in Silver Lake next Thursday evening. Miss Ruth Leckrone Passes Bible Examination With High Marks

Ruth Leckrone daughter of Dr and Mrs Leckrone passed a Bible examination held Saturday May 13 with 88 and 84 on two parts. Passing grade was 75. Papers were sent to the State for grading. Next exam will be on the second Saturday in October.
