Prof. H. F. Ahuddell of North Manchester visited on Monday and announced he has accepted the principalship of Beaver Dam schools in Franklin township for the coming term. The Record wishes him success.
Three ice cream manufacturers operate in town with two prominent soda fountains. The season shows strong sales so far with ample supply from two restaurants and two drug stores offering ice cream and sodas.
A party of ladies including Pearson Davis Swihart Leckrone and the Misses Minnie Rhodes Georgia Leffel Anna Hutt man Cleo Jantz traveled to Winona last Friday evening to witness the Mary Howe Concert.
C E Wiltrout and family have taken possession of their cottage The Twin Gables at Winona and will remain there during the season. The Gables provides ample first class accommodations for boarders and roomers and is receiving a large patronage.

Snyder property in the northeast part of town for about mid September occupancy, price 300 dollars. Jerry Kreiter sold his northeast residence to James Richardson yesterday with a 325 dollar consideration.
About a dozen visitors returned from Warsaw on the early train Wednesday showing troubled expressions as agent Bussard faced questions over a supposed return train to the south on the 4th. No such service existed, leaving several guests to seek cheap lodging and await resolutions as friends aided their care through the night.
