Mrs Meredith Taken Sick. Bowel Obstruction Opera­ tion Planned

Mrs Harvey Meredith living west of town fell gravely ill Friday with a suspected bowel obstruction. An operation was planned for the forenoon at Fort Wayne hospital after ambulance transport from Claypool, but details were not learned by press time.

Warsaw druggist Kennedy was arrested Saturday evening on a charge of selling liquor illegally to Ed Sausage McKinst, who filed the affidavit.

Sheriff Kintzel accompanied John Scarfacs Charles Boggess and Richard Wogeman to Jeffersonville last Friday. Each party was sentenced for a term of from two to fourteen years.

Coroner Kelly called at the Record office after a visit to Silver Lake. The report notes there has been little need for his services in recent years, but he is frequently summoned to various parts of the county.

Died at Home of Daughter in Clay County

Simon Kissinger died at his daughter Mrs. E. E. Valentine residence in Clay County Monday evening at six after several months illness. He was past 77 years old, a plasterer by trade, and had worked in the trade over 30 years. He was well known in the area.

Fall Injures Mrs. Sigler Hand and Wrist

Last Friday morning Mrs. Mary Sigler suffered torn ligaments in her right hand and wrist when her shoe caught a nail near the barn causing a fall. She crawled to the house for help where a physician bandaged the wrist as sister Mrs. Rowalt and caretaker Miss Rodie Laughman assist the two women.

Death of Local Resident George Kramer at Water Trough

George Kramer aged about sixty, recently living at Ed Dickerboot place five miles south of town, died Wednesday morning after an attack of heart trouble while pumping water. He fell into a watering trough and died apparently instantly. Unmarried, he was a well known figure and uncle to Levi Rhodes who lives in the eastern part of town.

Town Trustees of Silver Lake to Meet Friday Evening

The honorable town trustees of Silver Lake will meet in regular session in the town clerk s office in the town hall tomorrow Friday evening February 20. It is not likely that there will be any business of great importance brought up.
