Funeral services were held last Friday at the church of the Brethren two miles west of North Manchester for Mrs. Eli Gresso aged 50. Cause of death was stomach cancer. Her husband is a brother to Samuel Gresso of this place and they lived one and a half miles north of Laketon. Relatives from this area attended.
Mrs. Catharine Keesey died Monday at St. Joseph hospital South Bend after four years of ill health. Funeral services were held Wednesday at the M. K. E. church in North Manchester. Born April 20 1846 in Kosciusko County she married William Keesey in 1864. Survived by three children Silas Daugherty of Wabash Charles D Russ and Earl Keesey of South Bend, four brothers and one sister, and several relatives. She was a Methodist and respected community member.
Russell Rader of near Akron married Hazel Tullis of near Silver Lake Saturday evening in Burket with Rev. McCor officiating.
