Mrs George Helser Dies Sudden At Home
Mrs George Helser died suddenly at her home three miles southwest of town early Monday morning December 16. She had recently been in good health and suffered an excruciating pain before passing away before medical aid arrived. The 44 year old widow left eight children, a mother, and several siblings. Funeral held at United Brethren church Wednesday afternoon with Rev Johnston of Akron, burial at Lakeview Cemetery.

B E W Gresso of the Gresso Department Store at Silver Lake attended a Chicago business men's convention where about three hundred merchants formed the tenth branch of the L C Mercantile Company. Word reached last week that J. F. Holmes died in Medina Ohio and the funeral was held in Elkhart last Thursday. He was son in law of Mr. and Mrs. Allen DeHaven and lived with them in their home years ago before moving to Elkhart and later to Ohio for the winter.
