Obituary: Daughter of Harvey Family Passes Away in Indiana

A Getty obituary notes the passing of a Harvey daughter in Indiana. She had been an invalid for care and died after four years since a prior death in the family. She is survived by two sons Arthur Ells Harvey and others, plus two sisters Mia Curtis and Mrs. Sarah Fisher. Funeral services were held Thursday with interment to follow.

Masked Ball and Box Supper by Silver Lake Band

A masquerade and box supper will be held at Rager and Yount hall on December 28 1916 to support the Silver Lake Band. Kentucky Darktown participants will perform and prizes donated by the Drake firm will be awarded for best masked man and best character. Admission 10 cents, masked 25 cents, prizes cash for best costume.

Car Wreck Injures Flohr and Six Others Near Pleasant Church

A Sunday automobile crash west of Pleasant Church injured Flohr and six others. Flohr sustained injuries to her right arm near the wrist elbow, while Mrs Kento suffered worse hurts. The wreck damaged the top and windshield, with the group taken to local homes for care.

The first of last week Thomas McGovern of Wabash completed his cottage at Myrtle-Glenn park and preparations for the dedication were hastily made. On Wednesday evening a large gathering enjoyed music by the McGovern orchestra, short speeches, and a sumptuous supper prepared by Chef Albert Madden. Those present included numerous local residents and officials from Wabash.

Obituary of Charlie Blair D N Blair M J Blair

Charlie Blair, youngest son of D N and M J Blair, was born August 17 1883 in Silver Lake Indiana and died December 5 1916 in Manton Michigan at age 33 years 4 months 19 days. His Michigan based brother carried his body to town while a sister and brother traveled from Pennsylvania to attend. A service was held at the grave with remarks from E E Martindale using Revelation 20 4 15 and 21 1 8 as a religious basis.

Woman Wounded in Hunting Accident near Roane

Mrs. Clarence Rush was hit by a rifle bullet Saturday morning while outside a summer home near Roane. The gun discharged when a screen door was struck as Mr. Rush returned from hunting. She suffered a hip wound but is not believed to be in serious danger.

Death of George Hanes in Wisconsin Camp Tragedy

George Hanes, living in Ashland Wisconsin, died on a hunting expedition. He built a camp in the woods and was last seen on Thanksgiving about six miles from camp. His frozen body was found at the camp and funeral services were held last Friday afternoon.
