Dr Frack Downing a respected veterinary surgeon aged 64 died suddenly at his home northeast of Claypool last Saturday morning while milking a cow. Survived by three sons and a daughter. Funeral from U B Church Claypool 10 am Wednesday with Rev McCoy officiating. burial Mt Pleasant cemetery.
L. W. Myers was called to Constantine Michigan last Friday for the sudden death of his brother To Bias Myers. The deceased was past sixty and well known locally. The heart trouble is given as the cause, though he had been in usual health until death. Mrs. Myers is critically ill at home in Constantine from a stroke of paralysis suffered last summer and the shock of her husband’s death.
Samantha J Elder born August 22 1853 in Kosciusko Indiana died November 18 1911 at her home in Orifino Nebraska at age 58 years 2 months 2 days She married William Tri die March 6 1873 and they had seven children plus a husband and 10 grandchildren Also she leaves a United Brethren Church member and a life of consistent Christian faith The family moved from Silver Lake to Nebraska in 1885
Mrs. Priscilla Buck mother of Rev. A. D. Buck of this place died at her Reading Pennsylvania home last Saturday after several months illness. Funeral held Monday.
Mrs Elizabeth Bechtaid widow of Christian Bechtaid died Wednesday night at her daughter Mrs E E Wrights home in Larwill Indiana Pneumonia was the cause Funeral and burial were at Kippus on Friday She is laid to rest beside her husband who died eight years ago The Wright family thanks the M E and Silver Lake society for flowers
Optician M. B. Knouse, who travels here biweekly with his wife, planned to spend Thanksgiving at Crown hotel but could not due to a sprained knee. He intends to keep his appointment next Saturday December 9 at the pew 1 hotel to fit glasses for those who call.
L. O. Jones relocates his harness shop from the Robinson room near Roger and Jontz drug store to the Summe room north of Cline drug store. The store spaciously expanded aims to better serve a growing customer base with improved accommodations.
Reverend and Mrs. A. D. Buck H. A. Ferree and Mrs. S. J. Self attended the Settlement Day Meeting in North Manchester Tuesday. The meeting led by B. S. Hullo perter district superintendent of the Methodist church discussed and reported on the church's financial condition.

The couple, well known locally, receive best wishes for a long, happy life.
Mrs Lola M Collins and her two daughters Vera and Ruth from New Carlisle were guests at the S S Robinson home last Saturday and visited many old acquaintances. The Collins family once lived here and Mr Collins ran a harness shop in the current RECORD Office building.
