Local businessmen along the Michigan Division of the Big Four rail line protest the high rate of damaged shipments. They report daily arrivals with goods unfit for sale and urge the railroad to assign spotters on trains to monitor handling. The Arcoxp reports several damaged consignments this year and continues a longstanding claim from last spring.
A short note indicates strong demand at the Getty Meat Market in Silver Lake with a wanted poster seeking 500 rabbits weekly, while the subject remains in Indiana.
Circulated plan shows Trustee Leonard vacating No 3 school district and transporting pupils to the township high school building next year. This would allow placing a second high school teacher in the building, reducing hauling distance to under 31 miles with a nearly new wagon, cutting transportation costs.

Creighton M. Oldfather died at his home southeast of town after long illness from stomach cancer. Funeral held Monday at Rose Hill Church with Lutheran and M E ministers present. He was born February 16 1851 in Pleasant township Indiana and died November 30 1907 at age 56 years 9 months 4 days. He leaves a widow Catharine Redeye three children Ora Smith Myrtle Groninger Wilfred and four grandchildren.
