S B Burdge his wife and son Rov Miss Zoe DeArmond of Wabash Frank Zimmerman and Earl Shipley of Disko clung to the sinking craft as wind and waves drove it over. They survived with help from nearby rowboats though none could swim. Mrs Beard helped record the escape as remarkable.
