A Ford coupe driven by Ed Tyner and Ora Williams of Laketon collided with another car. Tyner fled on foot and later faced charges of driving while intoxicated. He was arrested by the Wa bash sheriff as hearings are scheduled for next Monday.
Three cars carrying relatives from Preble stopped at the Dilling home in Laketown when Mrs. Pilling suffered a stroke and died within hours. The group was en route to Lakens Lake for a day outing.

Mrs. Fred McKown was taken ill last Sunday and moved to Rochester hospital for an operation. She was admitted on Tuesday but no operation had been performed by noon today.
