Death of Mrs. Iris Smith Near Silver Lake
Mrs. Iris Smith died at about seven o clock Wednesday evening after illness from Brights disease and diabetes. She lived around Silver Lake most of her life and is survived by her husband a son five years old her parents Mr and Mrs Chas Brown a sister Mrs Mdna Jones of Warsaw three brothers William Brown Claire Brown and Orval Brown with other relatives. The body was taken to the Edna Jones home in Warsaw and funeral arrangements were expected to be announced locally once learned.

Auto Fire Destroys Saxon Car Near Warsaw
A Saxon touring car owned by John Sawyer of Warsaw was badly damaged by fire five miles south of here on Thursday evening while en route to North Manchester. A leaky gas line or carburetor caused the blaze. Sawyer and Dick Haywood escaped, the car left as a ruin, and the wreckage was dragged to Warsaw on Saturday.
