Peter Housouer on the Hartman Brothers farm northeast of Eton Green grows twenty one peppermint acres. He started to still the crop as oil sells at 1.50 dollars per pound. Clarence Housouer, son of Peter Housouer, runs the still. This year’s crop is somewhat short but expected to yield about 600 pounds from the twenty one acres.
The Herendeen-Larsson group plus sixteen friends traveled by wagon with two boats to McClure Lake for a day of fishing on Wednesday.
