Ayers Pleads Self Defense and Is Acquitted

Sunday evening a dispute led to Lawrence and Ayers fighting. Lawrence suffered a black eye and facial bruises while Ayers bore minor scratches. Lawrence left for Warsaw for legal advice and returned Tuesday. A neighbor filed an affidavit Monday, Ayers posted bond, and at 6:30 pm the court heard the case. Ayers pleaded self defense and was acquitted as witnesses supported the self defense claim.
