Mrs Martha Wiley Dies At Home After Illness
Mrs Martha Wiley wife of William Wiley of the south part of town died about noon Wednesday after months of suffering. A funeral is set for Friday afternoon at the Palestine church with burial in the nearby cemetery. Rev E E Martindale to conduct services. Survivors include husband L L Harkness daughter and Edson Wiley with other relatives in Hudson Michigan and Bourbon. The family will leave the house at one o clock for the church.

J F Skinner of this place learned that his brother Mahlon Skinner after twenty years away and eight years believed dead is now living in Des Plaines Illinois. Once closer to Indiana kin Mahlon left Indiana over twenty five years ago and may return to visit relatives in the Hoosier state. Robbery at Bracy Clothing Store in North Manchester
Thieves entered the Bracy clothing store on North Manchester last Thursday night and stole clothing including silk neck ties shirts socks and traveling bags valued near 1000 dollars plus about one dollar in change. Authorities say no crew has been found but suspects believed to have wandered town for days before the robbery and watched the night watch.

Burket Man Killed by Train After Mule Slays Board
Charles Demaree of Burket died after being crushed between a Nickel Plate freight train and a box car while loading corn with a mule and two horses. The mule was killed and the horse badly injured. Demaree died about twelve hours later at a Fort Wayne hospital.
