Narrowly Averted Wreck On Northbound Train No 40
Last Friday night a northbound train No 40 was stopped near Garman crossing after a railroad tie was pulled onto the track. Investigators found small footmarks showing someone left the right of way and carried the tie back onto the rails. No damage to the train occurred but the act could have derailed the heavily laden engine. The incident suggests a deliberate act against the railroad and calls for the culprit to face prison as a warning to others.
