A preliminary gathering aimed to form a hospital auxiliary to support local care. The group will include men women and teenagers with members called auditians. Hospital Administrator Norman Meyer announced a second open meeting in about two weeks for all interested attendees.
A six year old boy, son of Eddie Delgado, was struck by a pickup while crossing Market Street near Cooper Street with his sister Karen. He sustained painful but not serious injuries. Witnesses described the incident as a quapsway stop at the intersection, with a truck driven by a one year old motorist.
In Dallas a gunfight and riot left two dead and seven wounded, including four officers and three civilians. Police surrounded a frame house, fired four times, and used an arson to force the shooter, Johnny Thomas, from hiding. Wounded officers face severe injuries. several women injured were reported in satisfactory condition.

Vehicle traffic at the Juarez El Paso bridges was slow and delays 43 minutes or more.
A rosary is said tonight at 7 39 for Mamuel Solty at his Paywond home. The funeral Mass is scheduled for 1 pm Wednesday at San Jose Catholic Church in Payout. Burial will follow at Paywond Cemetery.
