Kids Try To Stop Smoking At Shenandoah School
A group of 7th and 8th graders at Shenandoah School joined a three week after school clinic to quit smoking. The program, run with the American Cancer Society, drew 38 willing students, about a third of the 14 year olds, out of 120. Sessions with health professionals and twice weekly counseling led to at least three quitting cold turkey and others cutting back.
