David Leyba Named Mustang Of The Week
Bayard resident David Leyba, son of Mr and Mrs Manuel Leyba, selected Western New Mexico University Mustang of the Week. A 1967 graduate of Cobre High School, Leyba played in CHS bands, joined Western music groups, served as a US Army medic, and maintains a 3.2 GPA while earning honor roll accolades and belonging to multiple music ensembles. He is active in outdoor sports, reading, photography and art.
