The Copper Cowbelles organized in Grant County met Sept. 7 at We Mimbres Round-up Lodge with 32 charter members from Buckhorn Cliff and Silver City. Officers were elected and honored with copper bells from Kennecott and Farmers Market. next meeting is January 1977.

Cancer Detection Clinic Announced
The annual Cancer Detection Clinic will be held October 11 to 15 at the Planned Parenthood Center 524 Silverleights Blvd. Sponsored by Grant County Union American Cancer Society and Planned Parenthood of Southwestern New Mexico, the free Pap test and breast exam are offered to women over 20, especially those past childbearing years or never examined. Appointments at 388-1553. Resources provided by Planned Parenthood staff and Hillcrest Auxiliary. Donations gratefully accepted to defray costs.
