Club Aids Flu Vaccinations At Silver City Meeting
The Silver City Woman's Club held its fall meeting at the Clubhouse on Sept 10 with Mrs J L Kuester presiding. Permission was given for the Grant County Health Department to administer Swine Flu vaccine in the club building and volunteers are sought. A painting titled Lite Cherry Creek by Mrs Effie Niccum Cunningham of Las Cruces was presented.

Delta Beta Opens Year With Bush Party Plan
Delta Beta chapter of Beta Sigma Phi held an opening day meeting at Alice Cartoon home with president in attendance. Yearbooks were handed out and plans for the year discussed. Guests included Emma Pedraza Claudine Tapia and Lupe Barela. The first meeting was Sept 7 at Angi Garcia home. Bush Party set for Oct 5 1976. Progrum by Estella Alvarez. Benefit Bridge Luncheon Set for Sept 30 at Silver City
The 24 Club hosts an autumn benefit bridge luncheon at 12 30 p m Thursday Sept 30 at the Silver City Woman s Club. Co chairs are Mrs Thomas P Fay and Mrs Richard Levielle with decorations by Mrs John C Davis. Dried flower arrangements serve as favors and an afghan knitted by Mrs Erich Downs will be awarded. Reservations to Mrs R W Mathis or any 24 Club member. Proceeds fund community projects including two Western New Mexico University scholarships.

DAR Meets In McCauley Residence in White Signal
The Jacob Bennett Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution held its first fall meeting Saturday at Mrs. Uarey McCauley’s country home in White Signal. Eighteen members and four guests attended the 10 am session, presided by Mrs. Wayne Toney. A doll exhibition followed the business program, with a roast beef dinner served by hostesses. Constitution Week Sept 17 23 was noted, and the October meeting will align with American History Day at Western New Mexico University on Oct ? .

Silver Club Aids Vaccination Drive and Arts Fair Entries
The Silver City Home Extension Club agreed to assist in inoculating older citizens against swine flu and A-Victoria. Members will phone voters and help register entries for the Arts and Crafts division of the Extension Fair on Sept 11. Also, a bread flower demonstration by Mrs. Lucille Lutrell featured beads dolls heads and other crafts. Eleven members attended the Sept 9 meeting at Mrs. Virgie Wellborn's home followed by a potluck luncheon.

Rebekahs Plan for Grand Assembly Trip
Cactus Rebekahs Lodge No. 34 plans to attend the Rebekah Grand Assembly in Clovis Get November. Read at the Sept. 7 meeting were messages from assembly president Rabbi Wicker and assembly secretary Mary Davis about the grand assembly. Peggy Cook, district 12 deputy president, will hold a school of instruction and workshop Sept. 27 at the Bayard lodge hall. Dorothy Goff reported 22 members have completed secret work. certificates will be awarded later. Noble Grand May Watkins received a birthday gift. Dorothy Goff and Elda Johns were named to an investigating committee to call candidates for membership. Refreshments followed hosted by Mary Rockenback and Martha Little.

Upsilon Plans Fall Bazaar by Beta Sigma Phi Chapter
Members set November 21 as the bazaar date during the September 14 meeting with a location to be announced later. A cultural program “Zoology Botany Geology Ecology Natural Science” was presented by Julie Harlan Barbara Koons Anita Little and Darlene Yockam. The group enjoyed a pot luck salad supper, and Sharon Gonzales and Arlene Sarkela hosted refreshments. Paula Hancock is slated to host the September 27 meeting.
