Holiday Crash Kills One in Arenas Valley Two-car Pileup
A two car collision on Highway 184 East in Arenas Valley Monday killed 23 year old Robert Grijalva of Silver City and left six others hospitalized at Interest Hospital and Providence Memorial in El Paso. The crash occurred during a pursuit by state officer Gilbert Bernal who said Placencia's car sped over ninety five mph before skidding and turning into oncoming traffic. The deceased rode as a passenger in Placencia's vehicle along with Librado Cordova who survived in fair condition.
