La Plata high school football overwhelmed Snell Eagles with 40-20 in one game and 14-6 in another, with eighth graders suffering a final defeat. Engels notch season two wins and three losses. ninth graders played at Cobre Field under lights, with La Plata scoring on a short run and a 30 yard pass. The Eagles’ lone score came from a 10 yard run by Orenso Llamas as the ninth graders prepare to host Lordsburg at 1:00 Saturday under coach Rape's guidance.
