Early today at 8 06 a m Silver City firefighters responded to a report of a basement blaze at the home of Mr and Mrs J W Glenn 1907 Queen Street They found joists on fire and heavy smoke filling the house Fire crews used booster lines and breathing apparatus to enter the smoke filled residence and extinguish the fire without major damage The Glenns remained in the home during repairs Chief John G Toledo supervised the operation and praised the department for its efficiency and pre cautious measures with residents thanking the crew for their efforts.

Court Requests Appointed Attorney in Narcotics Case
