Hurricane Inez Strikes Bahamas En Route To Florida
Hurricane Inez roared from Nassau toward Abaco and Florida sending gusty winds, squalls, and a tornado in Nassau killing a 16 month old child. Warnings extended along the southeast Florida coast as the storm neared Grand Bahama and the Abaco Islands with top winds around 80 mph expected to reach 100 mph.

Dubby Grubb showed the Grand Champion beef at Cliff-Gila-Grant County Fair. The 1,051-pound calf sold at auction for 76 cents a pound to Gayland Wallin of the Drifter Restaurant.
