100 Students To Take Draft Test This Weekend
About 100 male high school seniors and college students in the area will take the College Qualification Test for selective service this weekend at Western New Mexico University Light Hall Auditorium. The test begins at 8:30 a.m. under Dr. Edgar M. Kugler. About 25 test Friday and 75 Saturday. Tests will be sent to Education Testing Service in Berkeley for processing and results to local draft boards.

Plans Complete For Mid Term School Switch In Silver
Silver School District superintendent John Gaines said preparations are complete for transferring students to the new high school building and for using all existing buildings. Contractor Frank Tatsch will predict by December 1 whether the new high school is finished in time for the mid term transfer. If not ready, classes stay at current sites with Sixth Street Schools Stout Junior High and North Silver used for elementary grades.
