Silver City to Build Big Ditch Bridge Next Summer
The state highway department will design and finance a 28 foot roadway and 4 foot sidewalk bridge across the Big Ditch in Silver City. Town attorney Hilton Dickson Jr says the project, with the town receiving the remainder, will yield a modern single span bridge for about 11 thousand dollars. The bridge will improve police and fire protection and is funded with state and town participation.
