Chamber at conventions slated for Silver City this year

Bombing mishap eyed as probe finds accidental blast

The incident left 103 Americans injured with 74 Air Force and 29 Army personnel. Seven evacuated to the Philippines, 12 hospitalized in Saigon, and 84 returned to duty after treatment. Live bombs were cleared from the debris of a shattered ramp after a bomb loading accident triggered a chain of explosions on a U S jet bomber preparing for a Viet Cong strike. Maj. Gen. Joseph H. Moore said a preliminary inquiry found the first blast accidental.
