Bill Everhart 30 a former Silver City resident and Amarillo homeowner died Wednesday evening at the Veterans Hospital in Amarillo. He worked as a partsman for 20 years with Chevrolet and served 18 months in the U S Army including Korea. NASA expert flags red satellites as likely espionage tools
AP reports Dr. Charles Shel don II of the National Aeronautics and Space Council says the Soviet Union has orbit ed 46 satellites since 1962 that resemble photo reconnaissance craft. These low 100 to 200 mile high craft vanish after eight days, suggesting film retrieval rather than scientific use. He doubts warhead in orbit due to discovery risks and predicts the USSR may launch an orbiting laboratory and manned craft to rendezvous, possibly with a 40 000 to 50 000 pound facility and five or more cosmonauts in the near term.

Postal Service Fees to Rise March 26
The Post Office will raise fees for money orders insurance registry and certified mail and COD on March 26 to reduce a $60 million annual deficit. Increases include five cents more for domestic and international money orders and higher insurance brackets rising to 15 dollars minimum, with tiered rates up to 200 dollars.
