Museum Seeks Historic Ares Photographs for Harlan Collection
Silver City Museum seeks old area photographs to bolster the Harlan Collection. Director Harry Benjamin notes copies are welcome, with a want list including North Bullard Street residences, views of Hudson and Main Streets, former brand stands, cemeteries no longer in existence, and interior shots of old homes. Also sought are views of Grant County mining camps, old Tyrone homes, Lyons Campbell House, cane house on Ridge Road, and historic people and activities through old postcards.

Hill Wins Competition at Beef Recipe Fair
Dennis Hill aged 13 of Silver City won first in the Beef Recipe Fair held Sunday March 13 sponsored by Copper Cow belles. Kelley Disert took second with Kim Kline and Gayle Wilson tied for third. prizes awarded. Hill will travel to Albuquerque March 27 to compete in the State Recipe Fair with his Cowboy Chow dish and blue denim table setting.
