Generator Received At Tyrone For Phelps-Dodge Mine
One of two large power generating units was received today for the Tyrone mine area to power the lighting complex and electrical equipment. Silver City firemen battled two grass fires on Saturday both started by burning trash. The first at 9:15 a.m. near 17th and Gold consumed about 200 feet square, the second at 1:10 p.m. on Cottage San Road outside the city limits burned a similar area. No losses were reported.
