Vietnamese Refugees Prepare To Go Home
Camps at Pendleton and Epplin host more than two thousand South Vietnamese refugees who fled to the United States after the Communist takeover. A planeload of 49 of the 2,031 have asked to return home with UN sponsorship. Officials say returns must be voluntary and processed as refugees are interviewed by Mohamed Gharib. The effort includes civics classes and cultural briefings to ease the transition before possible repatriation to South Vietnam.

Forest Supervisor Bob Williamson announces special smoking and campfire regulations for the Gil a National Forest starting 8 00 a m Saturday June 21 1975 Smoking is allowed only in permanent habitations designated forest service camp and picnic grounds and while traveling in vehicles with ash trays on paved or gravel roads listed at district offices and the supervisor's office Campfires are allowed only in built fire places in designated grounds except at Lake Roberts where only regular campground fires are allowed Smoking is restricted in many camp and picnic sites with a list of locations and special permits may be issued by district rangers Stoves burning gasoline bottled gas or kerosene may be used at any safe location Coal and wood stoves fall under campfire rules and are not approved
