Emergency Conversion Fund Needed for Villa Solano Site
ROSWELL AP emergency funds are needed to convert the former Villa Solano State School near Hagerman into a minimum security prison by January. Corrections Secretary Ed Mahr said a recommendation would be ready this week after the Corrections Commission urged a study. The plan excludes juvenile detention use.

Kuwait, a major oil producer in the Middle East, plans to import about $520 million in farm commodities this year, up from $435 million in 1976.
